Dr. Ali Albakri is the IOC Certified Executive Director for Olympic Management, Education & Culture Programs in Qatar and a lecturer in Sports Science, the Olympic Movement, and Sports Psychology. Dr. Ali graduated from Qatar University with a degree in Physical Education, received a master's degree from Arkansas Tech University in the United States, and earned a doctorate in Sports Science and Mathematical Psychology from Brunel University in the United Kingdom.
In 2007 he was appointed a consultant for national teams within the National Teams Committee of the Qatar Olympic Committee. In 2008 he served as Executive Director of the International Olympic Committee's Advanced Sports Management Diploma Programme for Olympic sport institutions in Qatar.
He was subsequently nominated by the Qatar Olympic Committee among the top twenty executive directors of the Advanced Olympic Sports Management Programme worldwide, accredited by the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has also translated several books and scientific journals on sport and the Olympic Movement, licensed by the IOC.
